About kMother Doula
Who is Katherine
Katherine Rodrigues is the founder of Kmother Doula. She holds a degree in Public Management and is a certified Postpartum Doula as well as a National Registered EMT. Her journey into supporting families began when she discovered her true calling: helping parents navigate the first days of their baby’s life with care, guidance, and confidence.
Married for over 13 years and a proud mom of two wonderful children, Alicia and Oliver, Katherine knows firsthand the joys and challenges of early parenthood. Born and raised in Brazil, she has made the United States her home and is passionate about serving families with empathy, knowledge, and heartfelt support. She is fluent in both English and Portuguese, making her support accessible to a diverge range of families.
Katherine believes that every parent deserves guidance, reassurance, and a helping hand during those precious first moments with their baby.
Outside of her work, she loves reading, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with her family, always seeking ways to make life a little brighter and more joyful.
A note from the founder
My journey into maternal and infant care began many years ago when I worked as a nanny. After having my own children, I experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating the postpartum period without family nearby—my loved ones all live abroad. I truly felt what it’s like to face sleepless nights, endless questions, and overwhelming emotions alone. I missed having someone to guide me, support me, and help lighten the load. That experience inspired me to create Kmother Doula. My mission is to provide compassionate, reliable, and personalized support for new parents. I’m here to listen, guide, and care for families so that this special season of life feels a little lighter, a little calmer, and a lot more joyful.
My belief: When mom is well, baby is well too!
In addition to being a postpartum doula, I’m also a National Registered EMT. =)
